TZ Recruiting was founded by recruiting and industry veterans, Mark & Angela Fisher in January 2015. The deep experience that both Mark and Angela have achieved over the past 20 years in the Home Improvement and Building Products industry created a perfect launching pad for starting their own company. Their combined knowledge and involvement in research and recruiting is second to none in the industry sectors they serve.
From the inception of TZ Recruiting, their goal was to create a firm that offers a fresh, demonstrably different hiring experience from the “traditionalist” recruiters whose methods are antiquated and have not adjusted to the ever changing needs of 21st century corporations. Owner & President: Mark Fisher is a trusted recruiting partner within the Home Improvement and Hardware industry. This trust is built upon his 18 years of recruiting and networking within the industry, but also upon his personal integrity displayed in each dealing with clients and candidates alike. Mark’s recruiting expertise has been relied upon by both Fortune 500 companies as well as independent business owners to fill positions at all levels from the C-suite to individual contributor roles.
Through hard work, integrity and sales techniques he acquired from his position in sales with Glaxo SmithKline, Mark’s career in recruiting flourished. As Mark’s success in recruiting grew, so did his responsibilities. He grew from Account Executive to Executive Vice President. Mark was not only the top producing recruiter at Schaffer Associates for 15 consecutive years, but he also was responsible for building and managing their recruiting team, as well as, leading their business development efforts. Through Mark’s leadership and contribution, Schaffer Associates tripled their employees and nearly tripled their sales during his duration at the firm. In addition to his leadership in recruiting, Mark has been a featured speaker at various industry events.
After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Business from Liberty University in 1994, Mark later returned to academia to earn his MBA from Wingate University in 2004. Mark is an active father of 4 and spends much of his time investing in them by coaching their athletic teams. He is also active in teaching and leadership roles with his church and community.
Owner & Vice President: Angela Fisher has spent over 20 years immersed within the recruiting process for the Home Improvement and Hardware Industry. While completing her undergraduate degree at Liberty University, she began her recruiting career at a search firm in 1995.
Angela has experience in many roles within a recruiting organization. It was through her development of a database and research procedure that her former employer was able to fine tune their search process and successfully recruit in the new digital age. As Mark continued to build the team at Schaffer Associates, Angela was responsible for the training of new employees, both recruiters and researchers. As Director of Research at Schaffer Associates, Angela led and managed the Research team. Prior to that role, she was the Director, Marketing & Administration, where she developed policies, procedures and training curriculum for the team. Other responsibilities included the management of payroll and P&L. Angela’s marketing responsibilities included the development and maintenance of the company’s website, designing various materials to be used at trade shows, and the creation and implementation of the company’s newsletter. Angela has also had the privilege of contributing to various non-profits through assisting with marketing and organizational strategies for both start up and established entities.
Angela is active in her 4 kids’ lives, juggling work and family responsibilities. In her spare time, she enjoys serving in her church as a worship leader, teaching Bible studies, and volunteers with area pro-life ministries that assist women in crisis pregnancies. You will often see her cheering on her kids at the soccer fields or running her youngest to dance classes.
