In a recent survey of 4,000 customers conducted by Market Force, a customer experience management company, Ace Hardware of Oak Brook, IL came out on top. The survey showed Ace earning a 68% on the composite loyalty index and that far exceeded their competitors, like Menards with a 57%, Lowe’s at 54% and Home Depot at 53% scores.

Shoppers are loyal to a store when they can find what they need quickly, get the products needed to complete projects and have a friendly, helpful person available to answer questions. These are some of the reasons why Ace ranked on top for home improvement retailers. They also ranked first in scores for value for the price, store cleanliness, checkout speed, store layout and in stock positions.

In a retail world of go big or die, Ace franchise owners are doing a lot of things right in their stores and are responsive to their customers. Seems like a simple concept, to deliver what the customer wants. However, it takes a laser focus to stay competitive in this home center channel marketplace. Customers’ attention is tough to grab when they have so many brick and mortar and ecommerce options, so staying focused on being excellent every day is what Ace owners do best. They know their local customer and that produces loyalty. Great job to Ace Hardware and to your many owners around the globe!
