TZR President Mark Fisher’s Takeaway from the IBS/KBIS Show

We’re springing forward with what we experienced at the IBS/KBIS Show we recently attended in Las Vegas with more than 70,000 of our closest friends.

The weather was beautiful as builders, dealers, developers, designers and industry partners came together on the largest exhibit floor in 15 years.

It was extremely busy and the exhibitors that the TZR team connected with were very pleased with the foot traffic and level of engagement with customers.

It was great to hear that many of our clients are starting off 2024 in growth mode in spite of a slower December and January, and with a general belief that the indicators are in place for a strong 2024 and plans to continue to grow firmly set.

Our team attends the show every year – it’s a great chance to connect with industry leaders and top talent, and to experience new ideas while learning about the latest trends. There’s really nothing else like it in our industry.

Each booth highlighted new products, and innovation was everywhere. There was genuine excitement and positivity with most exhibitors about growth.

We witnessed a demand for talent in every conversation we had with hiring executives.  With low unemployment levels, executives agree that talent with industry knowledge and the ability to navigate industry dynamics sets them apart from the ‘average’ applicant.

John focused on the building materials side and Justin focused on the kitchen and bath side.  Both have a passion for the industry and made some good connections during meaningful conversations with potential clients.  As the trade show season wraps up it’s a good time to convey that they are a big reason of why we are trusted by both individual talent and corporate clients. It’s important to us to remain experts and the most experienced in our field by being on the show and store floors, and in the boardroom. Being able to speak authentically and with passion and knowledge is what keeps us in The Talent Zone too.
